The Sun Chi Lantern is a Shen Gong Wu resembling a lantern. When used, it allows the user to absorb the "chi" energy of anyone illuminated by its light. In the case of the Xiaolin Dragons, it would absorb their element.

Characteristics[]

The Sun Chi Lantern resembles a brown lantern with a cable inside..

Abilities[]

  • Tsikinesis - It allows the user to absorb chi energy from other individuals around the user and give it to him. In case of normal humans' chi the user would become physicaly stronger.
  • Elementumkinesis - In case that the chi belonged to the Xiaolin Monks or/and the Heylin Villains, the user would acquire elemental abilities and/or heylin magic, for a short period of time.
  • Chi draining - In the Xiaolin Showdown video game, the user drains all characters who come near of their chi.

History[]

It is only properly used once in when Omi won it in a showdown against Jack Spicer (which was the only showdown out of the four that was won by the Xiaolin side) and returns back to the temple only to find that the others had been kidnapped. He travels to Jack's lair and uses the Sun Chi Lantern to absorb his teammates' chi and defeats Katnappé, Chameleon-Bot, Tubbimura and Jack Spicer (the latter with virtually no effort) using their elements.

It is seen amongst the Shen Gong Wu stolen by Jack with the Shard of Lightning.

It has also made an appearance when Omi looked inside Pandabubba's mansion, one of his henchmen is holding the Sun Chi Lantern. The monks got it back by the end of the episode.

It is seen as one of the Shen Gong Wu being stolen by Gigi.

It was among the many fake Shen Gong Wu sold to Jack by Chucky Choo. The real Sun Chi Lantern was hidden in Dojo's nose for safe keeping.
