The Mantis Flip Coin was the first Shen Gong Wu revealed. Jack Spicer discovered it in a back ally in San Francisco, California, USA.[1] It allowed the user to jump very high and allows for quick movements and skillful evasion. The Shen Gong Wu is a small coin that can fit in the palm of a human hand. Jack wagered it in a Xiaolin Showdown with Omi for the Eye of Dashi, which he lost.
It was revealed in the first episode, The Journey of a Thousand Miles, where Jack found it before the monks, but lost it in a showdown for the Eye of Dashi later that episode. In the episode Chameleon, Jack broke into the Vault and stole all the Monks' Shen Gong Wu, except for this one. In the episode Royal Rumble, Kimiko lost it in a showdown for the Lotus Twister against Katnappe. In the episode The Sands of Time, Old Jack lost it in a showdown to the two Omis, and the monks have had it ever since.
History
In "The Journey of a Thousand Miles", It is discovered by Jack in San Francisco, as well as used to show-off his newly obtained powers. It is later used again during the first Xiaolin Showdown by Jack to jump on the pillars. Later, in "Like a Rock!", Raimundo is given the Wu by Master Fung to use in the retrieval of the Fist of Tebigong. He later uses it, during a fight with Jack-Bots, to dodge two incoming robots. In "Chameleon", Omi uses the Wu in a training battle with Kimiko, to easily avoid her Third-Arm Sash attack. It is also the only Shen Gong Wu not stolen by Jack Spicer. In the next episode, "Night of the Sapphire Dragon", Omi uses it to attack Jack as he is flying away with the Sapphire Dragon. He also uses it in the subsequent showdown, where its abilities are used to help Omi jump on the lava pillars. In "My Homey Omi", Omi once again uses it in the Shen Yi Bu Dare against Jack and his Transforming-Bot. He and Jermaine use it many times to score points in the basketball showdown. Later, in "Royal Rumble", Kimiko uses it in a showdown with Katnappe for the Lotus Twister. She uses it to jump on the crocodiles. In "The Shard of Lightning", Clay uses it in a battle with Kimiko to avoid her attacks. However, in mid-jump, the Wu is stolen by Jack, using the power of the Shard of Lightning. It's next appearance was in "The Sands of Time", where Old Jack Spicer wagers the Wu in a Xiaolin Showdown tsunami against Omi and his older counterpart. However, the Wu is never used in the Showdown, and is lost by Jack to the Omis as they lost the Showdown.
