"Dangerous Minds" is the thirty-seventh episode of Xiaolin Showdown. It was directed by Mike Milo and written by Stephen Sustarsic. It originally aired in the United States on Kids WB on May 14, 2005.
Overview[]
The Xiaolin travel several miles beneath the Earth's surface to search for a newly revealed Shen Gong Wu, the Hoduku Mouse. When Jack and his Worm-bots arrive, the cavern begins to collapse and deadly spiders appear, forcing both sides to retreat. When they both try to retrieve the Hoduku Mouse, they partner up to get rid of the spiders, but this alliance ends when a Xiaolin Showdown is called on the Mouse. When it is destroyed, Omi and Chase Young are split from their respective sides, Chase brings Omi back to his lair to find a way to defeat the spiders with the knowledge from the Fountain of Hui and the Eagle Scope.
Synopsis[]
The Warriors and Dojo Kanojo Cho are miles beneath the Earth's surface, looking for the next Shen Gong Wu, only to encounter Jack Spicer and his Worm-Bots. After a big battle through the worms, the cavern starts to collapse, and there is the Hoduku Mouse, but it so happens they have also found the deadliest spiders alive. Instead, the Warriors retreat to the Xiaolin Temple. Master Fung explains that they will eat anything until there is nothing left to eat.
Over at Chase Young's Lair, one of Chase's cats drags Jack to him. Chase inquires about the release of the spiders. After agreeing Wuya bellows in his ear like she always does, and then comes up with the idea that the Hoduku Mouse can undo the mistake he caused. Back at the Temple, the place starts to rumble and collapse; Master Fung urgently sends them to find the Hoduku Mouse and never return until they find it. After the whole place caves in, and go underground, they find the Hoduku Mouse along with Jack, Wuya, and Chase. Chase claims they should set aside their petty differences until they get rid of the spiders. Nevertheless, Jack runs for the Hoduku Mouse the same time as Omi. After the callings, they begin their showdown. The place starts to flood with mud. Jack tries to find the Hoduku Mouse under the mud, but only scoops up Omi, who uses the Orb of Tornami to wash away the mud. After Jack scoops up the Hoduku Mouse, Omi stops him by using Tornado Strike Water and the Hoduku Mouse lands on a dry piece of rock. Jack summons a horde of insects to attack Omi. The insects swarm over Omi's overwhelming and distracting him, and bring Jack the Hoduku Mouse.
Instead of using it right away, Jack starts to "savor the moment" but some spiders sneak up behind him and frighten him. The place starts to give way, and the Hoduku Mouse falls into a pit of lava. Omi and Chase are forced to separate from the others. Kimiko Tohomiko throws Omi the Golden Tiger Claws to aid their escape, while Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay, Dojo and Jack ride the Molar-2000 to escape the spiders. Back at the surface, Omi and Chase arrive at a dump-site caused by the spiders. Chase then brings Omi to his lair, giving him full permission to use the Fountain of Hui and the Eagle Scope together, but he has to swear as a Xiaolin Warrior only to discover the weakness of the Spiders and not to destroy evil. After giving his word, they begin. Omi then concentrates on the Spiders and everything about them; they find that the lava is their only weakness. Back with Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay, Dojo and Jack after attempting to escape the spiders, they come across Atlantis then Kimiko asks "where are we" while Dojo tells "my guess, Atlantis" to Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay and Jack. Then Clay asks "why, Atlantis"? Dojo points to the sign that says "welcome to Atlantis" which Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay and Jack turn their heads to see the sign. The Molar-2000 goes to a different spot. Clay says "maybe, we should hold up here a while". Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay, Dojo and Jack exit the Molar-2000. Jack tells Raimundo, Kimiko and Clay that they should hands so they wouldn't be separated. Clay tells Jack "bad idea" and Jack asks "why's that" then Kimiko tells Jack that "nobody wants to hold your clammy little hand" as Jack mocks Kimiko. However, Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay, Dojo and Jack soon discover that spiders infest the city. Dojo hides as Clay says "whoa, nelly!" while Jack screams. The spiders surround Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay and Jack then the arachnids put the four humans inside a web while hanging upside down. Jack asks" Does anyone have a strange feeling that they're gonna... heave?" Raimundo tells Jack "Don't even go there! That kind of talking can get awfully contagious!" Kimiko tells "I say we change the subject" while she is talking to Raimundo and Jack. Then, Jack asks What do you think the spiders want with us?" Raimundo tells Jack "Dude, we're in their web! Take a guess!" Jack (thinks for a moment then his eyes go wide) I DON'T WANT A SPIDER TO EAT ME!!!! Omi and Chase have made it to the city of Atlantis then they find Dojo alone on a pillar. Dojo asks "What year is it? "How long have I been living like a rat in a hole?" (sobs and hugs Omi). Omi tells Dojo "thirty-five minutes". Dojo says "Huh, funny. Time moves a lot slower down here. Chase asks Dojo "where are the others?" Dojo tells Omi and Chase that the spiders captured Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay and Jack. Plus, Dojo says "they were everywhere!" "it was awful!" Hey, you're one of the bad guys" when he notices Chase. Chase and Omi walk to the inside of the city when the latter says "When we find our friends, I am certain we will find the queen and the egg chamber!" Dojo is terrified when he says "Queen? Egg chamber?" when he goes after Omi and Chase inside.
Jack tries to free himself by wiggling the spider web. Clay Bailey says "chill, evil pardner! "Spiders don't eat people!" Jack asks Clay "you sure?" then the latter responds "positive" and says "they desiccate 'em! Suck out the fluids until nothin' is left! Raimundo and Kimiko stare at Clay for messing with Jack. Clay says "What? A cowboy can't have a hobby?" Jack freaks out when he says "I don't wanna be what he said!" Clay says "they usually start with the squirmiest!" Dojo tells Omi and Chase "I heard this place really used to rock on Saturday night" when the three of them are walking inside Atlantis but they stop while they spiders on the ceiling. Chase tells Omi and Dojo "stay here" and "we must be getting close to the nest". Omi says "I am not afraid of any spiders!" "I eat spiders for breakfast!" Dojo says "Personally, I would prefer a nice bowl of cereal" as he backs away while Chase and Omi fight the spiders. Dojo tells Omi that he has gotten so chummy with Chase Young. Omi tells Dojo that we have a world to save. Chase says "looks like we captured our first prisoner" as he pinned down the spider while Omi and Dojo walk to the former.
Then after taking on many spiders, Omi uses the Tongue of Saiping to ask one of the spiders where the egg chamber is. The spider responds filthily then Chase, Omi and Dojo enter the egg chamber. Chase says "we're definitely inside the egg chamber" but Omi says "I still do not see any sign of an egg sac" while Dojo says "we're going to need help!" Dojo is terrified while seeing the unhatched spiders as Omi and Chase also notice it above their heads. Omi, Dojo and Chase run towards the screams of Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay and Jack. Omi and Chase find Clay's hat on the ground while Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay and Jack are hanging upside down. Omi asks Kimiko, Raimundo and Clay "Are you alright?" Raimundo tells Omi "Oh, not bad, except for that itch I can't reach..." Omi is using the Golden Tiger Claws to scratch Raimundo's itch which made Raimundo glad then Omi gives a thumbs up. Dojo and Chase walk to Omi. Clay asks "What's Chase Young doing here"? Omi says "We have formed a good and evil allience to save the world". Jack says "That's right, rub it in!" "Now, how about getting us down from here!" while Clay, Raimundo and Kimiko stare at the villain. Omi is about to use the Golden Tiger Claws but Chase stops him. Then, Chase leaps upside down to cut the web that is holding Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay and Jack on the top of the egg chamber. Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay and Jack fell to the ground on top of each other then they move away from each other. Omi says "we must drill to the earth's core and flood the chamber with molten lava." "Once it hardens, the spiders will be encased forever" while he frees Raimundo, Clay and Kimiko from the web. Jack says "Peachy plan. Except whoever you send will wind up as toast" while Raimundo, Kimiko and Clay walk to Omi. Omi points to the Molar-2000 while Jack says "No, no! You can't! I may be evil, but I have rights! And, uh, I burn easily!" Jack is worried about his vehicle while Omi, Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay, Dojo and Chase are mad. Omi says "As tempting as that sounds, I will put the Molar 2000 on auto-pilot" while Raimundo, Kimiko and Clay look at their friend before they turn their head the opposite direction when they and Dojo are annoyed.
Omi sets the Molar 2000 and drills it to the Earth's Core while Jack is feeling down while waving goodbye to his vehicle. Chase turns around and tells Omi, Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay, Dojo and Jack "we must leave before the queen returns". Omi, Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay, Dojo and Jack walk behind Chase but the tunnel is blocked by the queen. Kimiko says "the queen is in the building". Clay, Chase, Jack, Raimundo, Kimiko and Omi carrying Dojo run the other direction while the queen and the other spiders are after them. Then spiders soon surround .Omi says "Hurry, everyone!" Take my hand!" Jack double-crosses Omi, Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay, Dojo and Chase when he says "I have a better idea! I'll take the Golden Tiger Claws" while snatching it from Omi's hand. Kimiko says "Jack, you jerk! while she, Omi, Raimundo, Clay and Chase are mad at Jack. Then Jack says "too late, Xiaolin has-beens!" when he escapes from Omi, Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay, Dojo and Chase. The spiders are heading towards Omi, Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay, Dojo and Chase. Kimiko asks "what do we do now?" Clay says "I know one thing we can do."Run! Clay, Raimundo, Kimiko, Omi, Dojo and Chase are fleeing the spiders. Jack returns to the entrance of Atlantis and removes the Golden Tiger Claw when he says that he is out of danger but he is grabbed by monster's tail. Clay says "Get a move on!" "They're gaining on us!" as he, Chase, Omi, Raimundo, Kimiko and Dojo are still fleeing from the spiders as Clay grabs his hat when it fell off his head. Omi says "Looks like we'll have to kiss our backsides goodbye." Raimundo corrects Omi by saying "You mean kiss our butts." Omi says "That is most disgusting." Omi, Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay and Chase head to the entrance as the spiders continue to follow them. Omi, Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay and Chase stop running when they see lava. Dojo says "well, this is it" "I did have a good 1500 years". Omi takes the Black Beetle from his robe while he says "The Black Beetle will protect us from intense heat" and tosses it on top of lava. Clay tells Omi "you sure do come prepared". Omi, Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay and Chase jump onto the Shen Gong Wu as it floats away with them inside.
The Warriors and Chase make their escape only to be surrounded by lava. Omi puts the Black Beetle on lava to make a float and aid their escape, while Jack escapes a monster himself. The others appear out of Old Faithful, and are greeted by spectators. Raimundo says "killer ride, dude" and Kimiko hugs and says Omi, you did it! then Clay says hey, look, I caught me a fish!" Omi says "Yes!" We make a better team than just me!" Kimiko walks away while Omi says Now we have fought as one! How would we ever battle again?" when he sees Chase. Then Chase says "I'm sure we will find a way." "This moment won't last forever." "Except in this moment of time" as he flies off. The spectators take pictures of Omi, Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay and Dojo. Clay turns the other way and gives the spectators two thumbs up. Raimundo starts waving at the spectators while he says "Hey, Omi! It's cool that you worked with Chase." as Omi also waves. Kimiko gives the spectators a victory sign. Clay tells Omi "you did what you had to do to save the world and Texas". Omi then mentions to Kimiko that he looked to see how to destroy evil. Jack lands inside a garbage bin. At the end, Raimundo and Kimiko were doing their chores when he scared Dojo with one of the giant spiders they defeated. Dojo jumps out of his skin and goes to hide behind Kimiko, and Raimundo laughs when he says "Dojo, you should see yourself" as he tossed Dojo's skin to Kimiko. However Kimiko says "Rai, that wasn't very nice!" while she carries bamboo as Dojo is still terrified. Raimundo says "how can anyone be so afraid of a spider". Just then, a small spider crawls on Raimundo's hand as he freaks out, and he jumps out of his own robe to hide behind three barrels which makes Kimiko and Dojo laugh at him. It's shown that the spider was actually sent by Omi, who had used the Tongue of Saiping. Omi thanks the spider for the assistance with a high-five after scaring Raimundo.

Mud Wrestling[]
Omi and Jack both grab the Hodoku Mouse at the same time, starting a Xiaolin Showdown. Jack wagers his Tongue of Saiping against Omi's Orb of Tornami, with the game being Mud Wrestling.
When the showdown starts, mud starts pouring from many different holes in the wall. The Hodoku Mouse is submerged in mud and gets washed away. Jack searches for the Wu, but finds Omi instead. Omi shoots him back with the Orb of Tornami. Omi uses the Orb to search through the mud, and the Hodoku Mouse shoots into the air and falls back down. Omi swims to where it landed, but Jack cannonballs and splashes Omi away. Omi shoots water at Jack and sends him and the Wu flying. The Hodoku Mouse lands on a rock, and Omi and Jack run for it. Jack uses the Tongue of Saiping to summon the creatures of the underworld to attack Omi, and they bring the Wu to Jack, winning the showdown for him.
