"Citadel of Doom" is the fifteenth episode of Xiaolin Showdown. It was directed by Jeff Allen and written by Bill Motz and Bob Roth. It originally aired in the United States on Kids WB on September 18, 2004.
Overview
With Omi stuck in the past, the remaining Xiaolin Apprentices and Jack must find a way to defeat Wuya, until they are captured by her magic warriors. When Omi does arrive, after having frozen himself with the Orb of Tornami, the puzzle box will not open for Jack Spicer, Omi or Dojo. Now Raimundo must decide where his loyalties lie.
Synopsis
Kimiko is extremely angry with Jack Spicer for not being able to bring Omi back from the past. Wuya's golems break into Jack's headquarters. Kimiko and Clay Bailey try to stop them, but fail. Dojo asked a frightened Jack if he is going to help fight Golems but Jack tells his Jack-bots to destroy them, but a larger golem rips Jack's house apart which Jack, Clay, Kimiko and Dojo see. More golems arise as they swallow Kimiko, Clay, Dojo and Jack to put the three humans and the dragon inside their cages. As Raimundo enjoys his villain life, he begins to play with his new golem friends but one of them eats the air hockey puck and possibly destroyed the basketball hoop.
Wuya checks on her favorite apprentice Raimundo, and he called her "the good time gal" as he asked her if she is up for a little air hockey and to give him a new air hockey puck because a golem eats it then spits it out but she tells him later because she has a special surprise for him as she imprisoned Jack, Kimiko, Clay and Dojo. Raimundo tells her that they are missing one little monk which is Omi, she covers her mouth completely and surprised and threatened Kimiko, Clay and Dojo where was Omi and where was his location at. Dojo, Kimiko and Clay will not tell Wuya since she is very evil. However, she tried to use her magic to make them talk until Jack Spicer mentions that he went back into the past fifteen hundred years ago to meet Grand Master Dashi and double crosses the imprisoned Kimiko, Clay and Dojo as he begs her to let him out of his prison cell she tells him that she's not letting him out even if he begs.
Raimundo became upset that Omi is in the past as Kimiko says "we'll never see him again, thanks to you" and Dojo tells him "I hope you feel guilty about it" then Clay tells him "yeah, nice going, you two-faced fink". Raimundo never wanted anything to happen to Kimiko, Dojo and Clay because he just wanted his due but Wuya suggested that he should join Kimiko, Clay, Dojo and Jack inside the dungeon. However, Raimundo with a change of heart tells Wuya if Kimiko, Clay and Dojo can be free from their prison cells that they can join her side and live in the palace alongside him, she agrees that was not a bad idea only to pledge their loyalty to her. Raimundo begs Kimiko, Clay and Dojo to join the Heylin side alongside him because they won't believe the stuff that Wuya has video games, race cars and speed boats. Jack Spicer agrees with it and asked Wuya to let him out but she tells him that the offer is not for him but for Kimiko, Clay and Dojo. Thus Jack tells Wuya that she holds a grudge or it could be an insult.
Raimundo tells Kimiko, Clay and Dojo that Wuya rules the whole world plus she's already on the winning team alongside him as he begs Kimiko, Clay and Dojo to join him and Wuya. Then Raimundo asks his former friends "what do you say". Kimiko, Clay and Dojo reject Wuya's offer which made Raimundo feeling down then Wuya tells Kimiko, Clay, Dojo and Jack to spend all of eternity inside the dungeon as the guards suck Kimiko, Dojo, Clay and Jack out of their mouths and into the portal as Wuya laughs while Raimundo is shocked his friends and Jack are going to the dungeon. Wuya asks Raimundo "how do you play this air hockey" as the portal closes underneath. Kimiko asks "so, will Wuya keep us imprisoned here forever or will let us out for good behavior in five thousand years" and Dojo tells Kimiko and Clay "not to worry" because Wuya made an optical error but Clay says "really, Dojo" because where he's standing Wuya's got it figured out eight ways to Sunday. Dojo tells Clay that "she forgot that your standard Dojo comes in two sizes, in moments I'll supersize myself and bust out of this cage" then he changes sizes but he is unable to free himself and hurts himself. Jack says "come on, there's gotta be a way we can get out of here". Kimiko asks "We?! and says "You're not one of us. "You tried to go back to Wuya, remember?" Jack says "Hey, what can I say?" "I like to keep my options open." Clay says "Guys, I keep trying to find some way of hope, but there doesn't seem to be any light at the end of this tunnel". A light shines from inside the manhole. Then Clay says "Wait a second". "I may have spoken too soon." Omi appears inside the dungeon from the manhale and says "indeed, my friend Clay." "You most certainly have" as the lid spins back to the manhole. Kimiko, Jack and Clay say Omi at the same time. Dojo tells Omi "Look out!" as the golems appear behind the latter. Omi turns and sees the golems then he uses Orb of Tornami ice to freeze them. Omi kicks the frozen golems which destroys them as he says "Hello, friends". Kimiko says "Omi! But how did you get here?" Omi says "It is a lengthy but very engaging tale filled with both surprises and heartwarming cheer..." Jack says "Hate to interrupt your already riveting tale, Omi but maybe you should get us out of here, first, you know before Wuya shows up and turns us all crispy?" Omi says "oh, yes, very wise" and "please step away from your cell doors". Then Omi uses Orb of Tornami to freeze the cell doors and the cage that imprisoned Kimiko, Clay, Jack and Dojo. Kimiko, Clay and Dojo break their imprisonment. Jack tries to break the iced bars but he hurts his hand then he asks a little help, here?" "Please!" as Omi walks to the cell door and taps it then he smiles. Omi, Kimiko, Dojo and Jack are around a fire as Clay walks up to them. Clay tells Omi, Kimiko, Dojo and Jack "we should be safe, here, for a while at least". Dojo asks "how'd you do it, Omi?" and "how'd you get back to our time?" Clay says "a time-traveling Shen Gong Wu, right, Omi?" Kimiko says "gotta be." Jack says "so obvious". Omi says "not quite" and Clay asks "really?" Kimiko asks "but how did you do it, Omi?" Dojo says "stop interrupting and he'll tell us" and Omi is annoyed. Omi says "when I realized Jack Spicer had foolishly sent me into the past with no way to return" as Kimiko is mad at the villain. Jack asks "how many times, can I say my bad?" Omi says "I admit I was horridly worried" as he screams while running around in circles but Grand Master Dashi picks him up. Grand Master Dashi says "whoa, whoa, Omi, calm down!", "now, tell me, what's wrong?" "Omi says "fortunately, I had Grand Master Dashi, greatest of the Xiaolin Dragons there to help me." "surely, he would have an answer." Grand Master Dashi says "sorry, kid, but I don't have any time traveling Shen Gong Wu". Dojo says "well, not anymore". Grand Master Dashi says "we had one". Dojo says "but we buried it in Egypt". Dashi says "Europe" but Dojo says "Egypt!" Dashi says "No, Europe". Dojo says "Don't you doubt me! I can remember with exact precision where we hid each and every Shen gong Wu". Grand Master Dashi "okay, whatever" "The point is, we don't have it now. Europe." as he clamps Dojo's mouth shut. Omi asks "what should I do, Grand Master?" and says "my friends in the future desperately need my help". Grand Master Dashi says meditate on this, Omi." and "wait patiently, the answer will come in time". Omi says "yes, Master" but notices that Grand Master Dashi and Dojo are gone. Omi says "fine!" and "I'll just sit here and meditate for 1,500 years!", "maybe, then I'll figure it out!" "I was struck by inspiration!" "That's it!" "The only way I could get to the future was by waiting, so that's what I did". Clay asks "you waited?" Dojo asks "for 1,500 years?" Kimiko says "but you don't have wrinkles or liver spots." and Jack says "or that old person smell". Omi says "no, because I had the Orb of Tornami", "I found the exact place where Wuya would one day rise her palace and then I froze myself", with "Orb of Tornami Ice", "there I waited in frozen slumber as the ages past. "Finally, 1,500 years later, Wuya raised her palace and with it me " "and so, I was free to help you, my friends" while Clay, Dojo, Kimiko and Jack are shocked. Omi says "though I am still very cold" and asks "does anyone have a blanket?" Kimiko says "no, but about a big warm hug, you clever little monk you!" then Omi says "that will do!" as he blushes. Clay asks "so, did Dashi help you find a way to defeat Wuya?" Omi says "yes, he gave me this". Jack says "hey, it's a puzzle box, like the one Wuya was in". Omi says "correct, Jack Spicer". "all we need to do is open this box in the presence of Wuya". "The only problem being I do not know how to open it" Clay asks "uh, Omi, this plan is starting to sound half-baked". Jack tells Omi "no problem, Opie" I opened it before, I can open it again.
Raimundo was bored stacking the playing cards all by himself until Dojo burns them. Kimiko asks him what's the matter that he looks pretty bored for a guy who rules the world, he asks them if they decide to join him. Clay says "nope, I'd rather kiss the back side of a mule". but Raimundo not realizing that Kimiko, Clay, Dojo and Jack escaped with the help of Omi.
Kimiko tells Raimundo "be cool and let us go" then Dojo says or be a loser and go after us. He tells his former friends better run because he is coming after them and he put his hood on his head. Kimiko tells him “Have it your way.” then he and the rock monster guards are going after his former friends, They beat the monsters, but Raimundo summons more by snapping his fingers. After a bit, Raimundo starts to wonder why Kimiko and Clay won't fly away on Dojo. He realizes that they are staying on purpose, and it is all a big distraction. He orders the monsters back to the palace in an effort to warn Wuya. Then the Golems recapture Kimiko, Clay and Dojo.
Meanwhile, Jack sneaks up on Wuya and tries to open the box, but fails. Omi tries, but he cannot do it either. Their frustration makes noise, which attracts Wuya, who captures them, takes the still-closed box, and shows them that she has also gotten the rest of them. Dojo once again tries to super size, but the cage monster is firm and solid. Victorious again, Wuya abandons the box to give to Raimundo and she orders the golems to crush Omi, Kimiko, Clay, Dojo and Jack by contracting their insides. Raimundo gets worried because he never intended to harm his friends. Realizing that he wants his friends more than material possessions, he looks to the puzzle box that fell to his hands and opens it. Dashi's magic from within it envelops Wuya while she asks Raimundo "what are you doing", when she is turning back into a spirit and trapping her inside. Grand Master Dashi is thanking Raimundo for trapping Wuya back inside the puzzle box. Her palace starts to collapses alongside the golems, setting Omi, Kimiko, Clay, Dojo and Jack free from their prison. As Wuya's Palace continue to shake while Raimundo falls off the steps as he is letting go of the puzzle box. Clay says "get a move on, gang" as he, Omi, Kimiko, Dojo and Jack are terrified to see that the palace is continuing to collapse. Then Clay, Omi, Kimiko, Dojo, Jack and Raimundo are running to the palace's bridge but it collapses as Omi, Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay and Dojo fall while Jack uses his Helibot to fly. Dojo changes size to save Omi, Raimundo, Kimiko and Clay while Jack. Then Dojo flies away as Omi, Raimundo, Kimiko and Clay riding on him while Jack grabs on Dojo's tail. After the explosion, the dead wasteland around her castle becomes lush green once again which Omi, Raimundo, Kimiko and Clay see happily while flying on Dojo. Then Raimundo and Omi fist bumps each other. Kimiko kisses Raimundo as the latter blushes. Raimundo gives Clay a high five as Jack smiles as he gives a thumbs up while holding onto Dojo's tail.
Back at the temple, Master Fung confronting Raimundo for his betrayal. Omi tells Master Fung that Raimundo saved us all too. Clay says "yeah, without him, we would have been Texas toast." and Kimiko adds "or worse." Raimundo says "guys, guys, I did a lot of damage." "So, I gotta do whatever it takes to make it right again". as he turns around. Master Fung asks Raimundo "whatever it takes?" Raimundo says "Yes, Master Fung" while he is ashamed. Master Fung walks down to Raimundo and offers him the Apprentice ranked sash when the latter asks "what's this?" while Omi, Kimiko and Clay smile. Raimundo declines the offer while saying "It's not that I don't want it, Master Fung, but I'm not ready" "Not yet" as he turns to the side then Master Fung smiles. Raimundo says "but I will be someday, you know, if Omi helps me" as he similes and gives a thumbs up which made the latter smile and gives Raimundo a thumbs up.
Omi, Raimundo, Kimiko, Clay and Jack are around the temple grounds. Clay says "It's like Wuya never ruled the world". Kimiko says "Which is just the way I like it for the record." Jack says "Yeah, swell, I'm out of here" when he starts to leave. Omi says "Jack Spicer, wait, please!" while grabbing onto Jack's coat as the villain tries to leave, as Omi is looking sad. Omi tells Jack "You have fought well". "We could not have defeated Wuya without you." Jack says "All true" and asks Omi "you going somewhere with this". Omi says "yes", "you should stay with us at the Xiaolin Temple", "hone your skills and join the fight for good" much to the dismay of Raimundo, Kimiko and Clay. Jack asks "Me? Fighting for good?" In a bathrobe?" and says "Forget it" and "Next time we meet, we're enemies again" as he starts to fly but a sad Omi grabs his coat. Jack goes on to say, "But maybe some time, if we're not fighting over Shen Gong Wu, we can all go for ice cream. My treat," as Raimundo, Kimiko and Clay walk to Omi and Jack. Omi, Raimundo, Kimiko and Clay happily accept Jack's offer of having ice cream. Omi says "we could get a Monday" but Clay corrects the former says even better. Now that the world is normal again, Jack is back to being their enemy.
Among the debris of the fallen palace, Katnappé purrs at the puzzle box she just discovered.

Did you know?
- This is the first episode to not have a showdown.
- Raimundo is wearing his Xiaolin robe again after redeeming himself at the end of the episode when he, Omi, Kimiko, Clay and Jack are at a tree.
- Raimundo quoted what Master Fung told him at the end of Mala Mala Jong (episode) because of the former's disobedience.
- When Raimundo says that he'll be ready to become a Xiaolin Apprentice someday which foreshadows Pandatown when he receives his sash.
- Raimundo only wears his hood when he says "Better run, 'cause I'm coming after you!", "Guards! Come on! We got some former friends to catch!", "Break all you want, guys!"
